Makoto Kurosaki, brother of Yu Kurosaki, is a blacksmith from Echizen, Japan. He trained under the highly skilled blacksmith Hiroshi Kato.

The Ryusei line is forged from VG7 steel and cladded in stainless. The blade is migaki finished and both the spine and choil are mirror polished. This line is performance focused and are very thin behind the edge. The handle is a cherry wood and pakka octagonal handle.
