Kei Kobayashi is a young, Echizen based blacksmith and sharpener who has grown quickly in popularity for his high performance kitchen knives. This series is made using SG2/R2 powdered steel laminated in soft stainless. The blade is ground very thin for performance and the sides are lightly convexed for good food separation. The blade is fitted with an octagonal rosewood and maple handle.
