Makoto Kurosaki, brother of Yu Kurosaki, is a blacksmith from Echizen, Japan. He trained under the highly skilled blacksmith Hiroshi Kato. This line is forged from a core steel of Shirogami #2 (white #2) steel and cladded in stainless steel with kurouchi finish.

Shirogami #2 gets very sharp, easy to sharpen, and takes a very refined edge. These knives have a very nice fit and finish with polished spine and choil. These have thin grinds and a very nice cutting feel. Great value!
